“For Colored Girls” In Theaters November 5, 2010

“For Colored Girls”  based on Ntozake Shange’s play “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf. Judging from the trailer and cast alone, Tyler Perry has done a magnificent job with the adaptation of this brilliant play. I couldn’t be more enthusiastic about this movie even if I tried, unless I were to receive an invitation to the premiere. To be in the company of such talent would truly be one of the most unforgettable moments of my life.

I urge everyone  to go out and support this movie on opening weekend. It’s simply impossible for anyone to be disappointed seeing a film based on a stupendous play performed by extraordinary actors and actresses. In the meantime, those of you whom are anxiously counting down the days, you should consider reading the book. You won’t want to put it down.

I love you Jan.Final Note: The book, For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf by Ntozake Shange, can be found at any major bookstore near you or at amazon.com for under $10

Eagle Eye

I saw Eagle Eye over the weekend. This is an edge of your seat from beginning to end movie. Shia LaBeouf is a terrific young actor. He has a very long career ahead of him.
